After driving on the road for sometime, you learn paying attention to the possible risks and take better actions. This happens by your identifying of the risks and predicting of other's faults.
Hazard perception is the ability to:
- Identify possible risks or dangers in the road scene around you.
- Assess the level of risk and predict what might happen.
- Respond in a way and in time to avoid or deal with these possible hazards.
Possible hazards can be the vehicles around you, such as:
- The cars in front behind block the vision.
- The motorcycle in the side.
- The truck double-parked up ahead.
- The car approaching in the overtaking lane five car length behind you.
- Pedestrians.
- Cyclists.
- Weather conditions such as heavy rain and sand storms.
- Traffic conditions around building.
- Sand accumulation at the road side(especially after sand storm).
Remember:
Driving skill and being careful avoid you hazards.
